In March 2009, Nashville-based DET Distributing and Memphis-based A.S. Barboro, Inc. purchased DBI Beverages in Memphis, TN.

DET and Barboro, both Miller Brewing Company distributors, have taken over operations of Coors Brewing Company distributor DBI and combined both operations at the former DBI facility on Tuggle Road. 

DET and Barboro formed a new company combining the DBI assets with the Barboro brand.  This new company called BarDett, LLC. will continue to operate in Memphis under the name of A.S. Barboro.

BarDett, LLC. is jointly owned by three principals:  Fred Detwiller, owner of DET Distributing; Malcolm Wood, owner of A.S. Barboro, Inc.;  Hall Crawford, general manager of A.S. Barboro, Inc.

A.S. Barboro currently employs around 130 people.
